This 45-h-workshop on optical design was specifically offered for ASP doctoral students. It was built on the common Zemax software and offered by Prof. Herbert Gross in the winter semester 2013/14. The topics included the modelling of properties of optical systems, abberations, optimization algorithms, imaging and illumination, advanced handling of complex optical systens, correction funtions, tolerancing, and physical optical modelling, e.g. raytracing.
