Innovation & Business Workshop 2021

This workshop was about innovation and business models. It ranged from idea creation at the beginning until testing if the idea could be transformed into a sustainable business model.

The workshop participants learned the basics of innovation management as well as techniques to generate ideas and visualize business models, including hands-on work in teams on real examples or their own business ideas. The workshop took place on September 24, 2021 (online).

Coaches

OLIVER MAURONER is a Professor of Management and Small Business at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz, Germany. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Creativity Management at the Bauhaus University Weimar. He also was head of the marketing & strategy department at the Fraunhofer-Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering in Jena. His expertise and core research interests cover the areas of creativity and innovation management, entrepreneurship, and small and medium sized firms.
 
DAVID ZAKOTH has practical start-up and strategic marketing experience. At the moment he is responsible for the strategy and marketing at an industry-specific makerspace. Furthermore, he is working on his PhD at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Mainz. His research is focusing on the topics of makerspaces and open innovation. Specifically, he is looking into how innovation processes within makerspaces look like and how companies can collaborate with makerspace users to foster their innovation capabilities.
