What is DoKDoK?

DoKDoK is a scientific conference for doctoral (PhD) and master students of all areas of Optics and Photonics. These conferences aim to help young researchers to establish connections, engage in a friendly academic exchange, and polish their conference presentation skills. This event offers an authentic atmosphere for scientific exchange at eye level.

The conference is traditionally organized by a team of doctoral students of this graduate school. This DoKDoK was hosted by the Abbe School of Photonics of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena and the Jena Alliance Life in Focus - A Carl Zeiss Foundation ProjectExternal link. 

Why should I participate in DoKDoK?

DoKDoK provides doctoral students with the unique chance to get in close contact with other young researchers. The flat hierarchy creates an innovative and openminded environment to present and discuss achievements and new ideas, as well as difficulties in the scientific work of young researchers. Additionally, the scientific program is supplemented by keynote lectures from experienced scientists at the top of their fields.
