Final semester grant: information for international students in their penultimate semester

International students without a German Abitur who are studying for a degree at the University of Jena can apply to the International Office for a grant for the last semester of study or examination semester. Applications can be made only in the penultimate semester of study before the final/examination semester. The application deadline is 28 February and 31 August of each year. Applications can only be submitted after a personal advisory consultation with Dr Salheiser in International Office in the International Students section. Please use the consultation hours for a personal preliminary discussion. You do not need to make an appointment, but please take a waiting number from the ticket machine next to the office; you will then be called.

The Student Aid Commission, chaired by the Vice President for Studies and Teaching, decides on the applications in mid-March and mid-September.

The grant is financed by funds from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
