Spectroscopy
This setup aims at the fundamental goal of spectroscopy, which is to investigate the properties of materials using light.
This setup aims at the fundamental goal of spectroscopy, which is to investigate the properties of materials using light. Here, light is characterized based on its wavelength (λ), which is spread over a range of values across the electromagnetic spectrum. This also provides us with direct knowledge of the energy of the photons at a particular wavelength. We can use this information to observe the behavior of atoms and molecules and their interaction with light of a particular wavelength.
Further content and detailed descriptions are available to enrolled students via the course's page at the Moodle website of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
