Student Chapters are student groups across the globe that play a critical role in fostering future leaders of photonics. At the Abbe School of Photonics, Master students are organized in two Student Chapters from the world-leading institutions OPTICA and SPIE.

OPTICAExternal link and SPIEExternal link Student Chapters are groups based at educational institutions across the globe that play a critical role in fostering future leaders of optics and photonics. In Jena, the two Student Chapters of Optica and SPIE are working very closely together. Through engagement the OPTICA & SPIE Student Chapters in Jena, students are provided with opportunities to strengthen leadership, communication, and networking skills for career advancement.
